Rosmead Street and Southcoates ward

Out and about with Roslyn and Andy today. Starting at St John's, Rosmead Street and then walking round  Southcoates ward.

Good to have six eyes between us. Seeing and noticing things differently.

Andy - the upgraded pavements, roads and railings down Rosmead Street and the random green areas where bombs had landed in the war.

Roslyn - the fish and chip shop that's been part of the community for decades, the loss of pubs and local businesses, the need for more community gathering places.

Me - the windows of houses glimpsing the personalities within, smiling children and their parents coming out of a high-fenced v protected school, the site of David Lister school (now bungalows and a health centre) where mutual friends went, way back in the day.

To be continued.....
