Heart Walks
In 2021, whilst emerging from lockdowns and restrictions of various kinds, a group of us walked round Hull. Fortnightly walks throughout the year following a heart-shaped route, mainly in the East Riding. It was an excuse to get together more than anything. But also a prayer for Hull and all the places we passed through along the way.
It struck me this week that the walks/listenings we're doing in Hull now are like stepping into the heart of things. With each walk, each listening, each prayer, bringing life right into the heart. Somehow. In some way. Joining in with those who've gone before us and with those right at the heart of things now.
The picture I had was of the capillaries of a heart. That in some way, each time we set off to listen and bend our ears/eyes/hearts to the heart of God, we're somehow involved in releasing air into the capillaries. Life into the heart of Hull.
So I've added an extra page to this blog. A map to see where we're being led. Where capillaries are being aeriated at this time. To be added to as we go along. If there's any places I've missed so far, please let me know. Thanks!!
