Gathering @ Hull Minster - final details
This is an invite to a little party at Hull Minster on 23rd December. This Tuesday.
This is not a big formal 'service' but a gathering of joyful prayerful listening souls Believing in and with and for Hull.
From 2pm til about 3.30pm we will gather, maybe having walked in from somewhere, to enjoy each-other's company, to share some stories and to pre-welcome God with Us. There will be a cup of something hot... and if you want cake, please bring your own. (Or the Minster cafe will be open).
We will hear some reflections from Bishop Eleanor, maybe sing a bit, pray some...
Walking in
If you want to join others walking in, Bishop Eleanor and others will start from Hessle Square at 11am. Or you could join along the way.... which is basically the full length of Hessle Road. If you want to join up, ring Chris Hembury 07761 425539. If you want to walk in from the north (east), we will leave from the Monks of Meaux (the wooden variety at the bottom of North Bransholme; or if you are coming from the south, on your left as you exit the roundabout past Kingswood School going north). We will also leave at 11am. We expect to walk south through Bransholme, pick up the off-road cycle track near Bransholme Centre and end along the east bank of the river Hull before crossing Scale Lane Bridge to the Minster. If that sounds good, in whole or part, ring Fiona on 07565 795302. Some people will be on bikes leaving 1pm; if you fancy that, ring Liz on 07958 730695.
