This adventure of listening. Wherever we’re at.
Yesterday was an unexpected uncalm day. With too much going
on, it felt, and an unexpected visitor staying over, breaking up a journey from
north to south. A joy, a pleasure, a stress beforehand to Get Things Done…
Felt a bit like Christmas. The beautiful mess of it. And I’ve a feeling these next few weeks will probably have their moments too. So let’s just give this a go. Whatever the days hold. And see how things roll.
So here’s a prayer to send us on our way......
The Prayer of
St Brendan the Navigator
Help us to journey beyond the familiar
and into the unknown.
Give us the faith to leave old ways
and break fresh ground with You.
Christ of the mysteries, we trust You
to be stronger than each storm within us.
We will trust in the darkness and know
that our times, even now, are in Your hand.
Tune our spirits to the music of heaven,
and somehow, make our obedience count for You.
